Maria here. I’m a visual artist, illustrator, wanna-be-nettle-spinner, writer and human and cat mom living in Canada. I am a settler on Treaty One Territory where some of my people farmed and were given land that the Red River Métis tribes were entitled to.

I love to write about my art practice, mothering and care-work practice and the historical strands of ‘the oppressed’ and ‘the oppressor’ tales and traits that mingled together throughout my European ancestral histories.
